Recently, the General Administration of China’s Customs issued two announcements that starting from Nov. 24 imports of Cuban farm-raised and wild-caught aquatic products that meet the requirements of inspection and quarantine are allowed to be exported to China.

The Cuban aquatic products approved for export to China this time refer to aquatic animal products and products cultivated and wild-caught for human consumption, as well as marine plant products and products such as algae.

Cuban manufacturers (incl. processing plant and independent cold storage) and aquaculture plants that export aquatic products to China, and the manufacturers (incl. processing plant, fishing vessels, transport ship, processing ship and independent cold storage) that export wild aquatic products to China, should obtained official approval from Cuba and subject to effective supervision. Manufacturers that export farm-raised and wild-caught aquatic products to China should be registered in China. The list of registered companies can be found on the official website of GACC.
