According to local media in Brazil, the Brazilian Federation of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (CNA), together with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) and the São Paulo State Investment Promotion Agency (Invest SP) Shanghai Office, released the "China Landing Plan" to help Brazil Small businesses bring specialty products such as propolis, fruits, and coffee to Chinese consumers. The plan is divided into five stages. 15 Brazilian companies have been selected to participate in the plan. Products sold include Brazilian honey and propolis, fruits and derivatives (e.g. juice), dairy products, specialty coffee, etc.
 
Officials from the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture believe that industries with increasing demand for fruits, beans, sesame, dairy products, and fish have potential. In addition, another strategic point to broaden Brazil's export list is to enhance the presence of Brazilian food companies in China's e-commerce. According to data from the Brazilian Consulate General in Shanghai, there are currently more than 1 billion people in China connected to the Internet, of which 800 million people shop online, and more than 200 million people buy imported products. However, the participation of Brazilian products in e-commerce is relatively low.
 
Since 2009, China has been Brazil's main trading partner. In 2020, Brazil will achieve a surplus of 33 billion U.S. dollars in trade with China.
